This is a privately owned TF-100F that is at a local airport. At the owner’s request, the tail number has been blotted out. It is in flyable condition. It was originally with the Royal Danish Air Force before being acquired by Flight Systems, Inc. This example and several others were converted to target tugs which included the installation of the F-106 type afterburner. These aircraft supported training in the USAFE arena. After their careers there, this example and 3 other TF-100F Sabres were stored in Mojave until a partnership named Heritage Jets based near Dallas attempted to gain sponsorship to restore a F-100 and tour on the air show circuit. This endeavor failed and the aircraft were sold with FAA recording a change of ownership to Big Sky Warbirds, LLC. Last known is that all 4 TF-100F’s have their FAA airworthiness certificates. This is a basic walkaround with details on the airframe, wings, landing gear and belly are shown. I was unable to gain access to the cockpit. But this will give some insight to an aircraft that is not around much anymore. |
