MSRP: $ 58.95

Following on the heels of their recently released Aggressor TA-4J comes this much more colorfully marked version with decals that are "knock your socks off" gorgeous. Printed by Cartograf, they cover the following aircraft:
  · VC-1 NAS Barbers Point HI, 1977
  · VF-126 Miramar, 1976
  · USN Blue Angels #7, 1978
  · Israeli Air Force Valley Squadron, 1969

Images of the sprue shots show several well executed trees molded in grey plastic with nicely engraved panel lines. The clear parts are nicely done, allowing the builder to open the canopy if desired.

There are also several bags of resin parts including 2 sets of seats. . All the resin parts are beautifully cast, without pinholes or warpage. The options of building the aircraft with the flaps up or down are also included in this kit.

I'm looking forward to this build in that the TA-4Js are the most colorful of all the Skyhawks, particularly in the orange and white training livery.

This is to date the best TA-4J released and is superb by comparison to the old Fujimi offering and vac-u-form conversion fuselages for use with the antique Monogram kit. Keep watch on this website for a full build review.

Visit Classic Airframes website for a more detailed selection of available kits. Many thanks to Jules Bringuier for the review sample.
