The AN/APS-4 was introduced during WWII by the US Navy to assist in the search and targeting of ships and surfaced submarines. Carried by the SB2C-4E Helldiver and TBM-3E Avenger the pod served into the post war years. Unfortunately the latest and best kits of these aircraft do not include an APS-4 pod. Quickboost provides a single, nicely detailed pod in their packaging. The pod includes the banding and attachment point to the underwing rack/pylon. The casting plug is at the rear of the pod and thinly attached for easily removal and clean up. As an aside another manufacturer of quality resin products offers a two pack of this pod and so I am not sure if this offering is really filling a void. Still the Quickboost APS-4 pod is a nice accessory to detail your late war and post war aircraft and is recommended.
