.....On June 28, 2008, three model clubs in the West Michigan area met again to compete in the Second Annual Pasta & Plastic event. Participants were members from IPMS West Michigan of Grand Rapids, TRIAD model club of Muskegon and IPMS Kalamazoo of Kalamazoo. The event was held at the IPMS West Michigan meeting hall since they were the winning club last year. In all, twenty-four modelers attended and entered forty-nine models in five events - Aircraft, Armor, Automotive, Ships and Figures/Misc. A number of display models were also shown including the latest cut-away model from Dan Jayne. Tim Ridout again prepared the meal and did a great job with pork barbecue sandwiches and two great pasta salads. Modelers and visitors alike enjoyed the meal and the great conversations between club members. While most people were eating, a team of judges worked hard to determine the winners of the five events. Based on winning the majority of the events, the IPMS West Michigan club again won the overall trophy and will be hosting the event again next year.
